Asian Secrets Whitening Spa
One of the main goals of this blog is discovering new things, especially when it comes to skin care. Due to cosplay, one of the body parts I have to take care is my face because it is always exposed to make-up and other harmful elements and I am prone to skin breakouts---which is not good when I have to cosplay in a...

It’s actually one of my favorite months of the year (of course my birthday month, September, will always be the top) because I buy great Christmas gifts for family and friends, have get-togethers with relatives and close friends, and buy a few some things for myself. And speaking of...
Sorry for the really late post. I am sick (again) and was just able to have the condition to post in my blog. It will also cover some advices and terms you should know when you plan to collect. ...
I’d like to take a break from the usual posts that I do because I just want to share this Typhoon Yolanda-related blog entry for my readers. If you want to contribute in helping the victims, I hope this post will be helpful. J Last November 8 (Friday), supertyphoon “Yolanda” (International name: Haiyan) made a landfall in Eastern Visayas. The aftermath of the...
I will just take a break from writing figure
collecting blog entries to post about this game-related update.
I am only new to the games of Blizzard Entertainment, with Starcraft II as the
first game I played. In Starcraft II, I already played Wings of Liberty and
Heart of the Swarm. I haven’t played Diablo and World of Warcraft yet, but
maybe someday. But despite that, I have some knowledge about the games and have
an idea what they are about.
For the second part of my Figure Collecting General Information, I will tell where I buy authentic and original figures for my collection and how to determine fakes and originals. I will be suggesting online and physical shops locally since I only tried buying internationally once or twice but not on figures. ...

About Figures and Their Types: FAQ/General Information on Figure Collecting
5:32 AM For my next FAQ/General Information series, I will cover some basic things about figure collecting and will be divided into 3 parts since it is sort of broad. Aside from cosplaying, my other hobby is figure collecting in which I gave a bit of an introduction about it here. But for those who still want to know more about this, uh, not-so-inexpensive hobby...
Wow, time flies fast and it’s the end of October already. It’s now November and pretty soon, we will be busy with Christmas, which is just more than a month away. With November here, I’d like to start it by showing some of the few hauls I got for the month of October (with Cosplay Mania 2013 as the main cosplay event). I...
I have many first loves in life and one of them is anime. I love animes since I was little, though I can’t remember what was the first anime I watched (I think Princess Sarah but I’m not even sure). But what really got me addicted to it was when I watched Sailor Moon in ABC-5 (now TV-5) on one Saturday. Again, I...
Finally able to post again! These past weeks have been so busy because of work, cosplay, freelance, personal stuff and, haha, my birthday. Unfortunately, things stacked up and I have many things to finish or do up until now and I’ve been busy doing that. My “things to do” have been lessened but I will still be full in the next weeks. So...
Sorry for not blogging recently. I am super busy with my work, birthday week and finishing a future cosplan for a big cosplay event. The only time I was able to write was for my work, so I apologize that I haven’t been updating. But in relation to that, as I said above, I am also busy finishing a cosplan (well my bf’s...

Quick Important Blog Post: "Legend of Korra Book 2: Spirits" will premiere tomorrow!
11:47 PM
Since
I am an anime/manga fan, it is very rare for me to go crazy over Western
animation series. The last time I did that was with “Avatar: The Last Airbender”
and I got addicted to it because of the story and characters. And because I
still love it, I am reading the comics that narrate about what happened after
the series---and it is still on-going. Apart from that, I was never into other
Western animation series.
Until “The Legend of Korra” came.

Main characters of "The Legend of Korra" |
For
those who are not familiar, “The Legend of Korra” is the sequel to the “Avatar:
The Last Airbender” that is set 60 years after and “follows Avatar Korra as she
travels to the metropolis of Republic City to learn airbending and face an
anti-bender revolutionary group called the "Equalists".” (Source:
Wikipedia – The Legend of Korra). It was
created by Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino, the same people who
created “Avatar: The Last Airbender”. And since I was addicted to the prequel,
I was super excited for the sequel though there were some mixed emotions
because “Avatar” garnered millions of positive reviews and have a large
fanbase. I was worried that LoK might turn out bad or crappy.
Good thing I was wrong.
Just
like “Avatar: The Last Airbender”, I became addicted to “The Legend of Korra”
where the Book 1 ran from April 14 to June 23, 2012. I was so in love with the
story and characters that I followed almost every “Korra” blogs in Tumblr and
did a lot of posts and reblogs. As if that wasn’t enough, I decided to cosplay Asami
Sato---my favorite character from the series.
“Asami Sato is the only child of the
former wealthy industrialist, Hiroshi Sato.
Although a non-bender, when she discovered that her father was working
with the Equalists and he invited her to join him, she stuck to her beliefs and
turned against him, later becoming part of the new Team Avatar.” (Source:
Avatar Wiki – Asami Sato)”
It
was (I think) one of my few cosplays that I did out of the blue and really had
my costume made as soon as I had the time. I super admire and love Asami as she
is someone that I really want to be: strong, a fighter, and independent. I was happy
when I found out some of my cosplay friends also wanted to do a Legend of Korra
cosplay photoshoot and had it done last October 2012. And here are the results
of the shoot:

While
I became lie-low in the Korra fandom the past months because I haven’t been
active in Tumblr too, my love for the series never died down. I was always looking
out for news on when Book 2/Season 2 will come out since it has been more than
a year since Book 1/Season 1 stopped.
Then
at August 15, 2013, “The Legend of Korra: Book Two” premiere date was revealed.
It will premiere on Friday, September 13 at 7pm on Nickelodeon in American
time. Here in my country, if my calculations are correct, that will be seven ‘o
clock in the morning. After hearing this, I got so excited that I suddenly did
some reblogs and posts on Korra in my Tumblr. I was super happy that in just a
month, I will be able to watch Book 2 and know more about what happened not
just to the characters of ATLA, but also on what the Team Avatar will be
experiencing next. The Book 2 is entitled “Spirits”, so most likely the
characters will have adventures involving the spirit world and is connected to
Korra being the Avatar.
And
finally, September 13 will be here. Despite the fact that I will watch “The
Legend of Korra: Book Two” online around Saturday morning, I am still excited
for its premiere. And the best part? It is a one-hour special premiere—which
means I’ll be watching two episodes instead of one. :D If you check my Tumblr,
you will see a lot of Korra-related posts than my usual---that’s how excited I
am!
So
if you haven’t watched “The Legend of Korra: Book One”, you can still catch up this
weekend before watching Book 2. For those who have watched it and are waiting
for its premiere tomorrow, let’s wait together! I will probably write about the
premiere this weekend after I have watched it. :D
For
now, I leave you with this (sorry for the crappy editing hehe):
