Gaaaahhh I’m back. I’ve been so busy with work, freelance, and some personal stuff, that I lost time writing here. Despite that, I still try my best to focus on Hainrihi’s Discoveries. I list down all blog ideas, promote it in social media, and attend some blog events.
One of the events that I attended was Blogapalooza 2016: Horizons, which was held last May 21, 2016 in Elements at Eton Centris, Quezon City. It is the biggest and grandest Business to Blogger (B2B) event, where businesses connect with different bloggers, and vice versa, for the promotion and exposure of both parties.

Convention News | My Top Highlights for NexCon 3 Day 2 - April 3, 2016
10:56 AM
While I am still composing my review for “Batman v Superman:
Dawn of Justice” (I am not that good at movie reviews), I want to share what
happened last weekend. It has been a long time since I went to a pop culture
and cosplay convention. So, I was very excited to attend NexCon 3, especially
when I was looking forward to one of their programs (more on that later).
NexCon is already on their third year in celebrating pop
culture, science fiction, fantasy, and the like. If you’re a new reader, I did
a blog post about the first NexCon, saying that I was
happy there is a convention dedicated to the Pinoy and Western fandom.
Since then, Marc and I decided to attend NexCon every year.
In the first two years, we were in cosplay. But for this year, I was a bit lazy
to cosplay and I wanted to experience NexCon as a normal congoer. NexCon was
held on April 2-3, 2016 at SMX Convention Center, Function Room 5. Tickets were
at P350. We went on a Sunday.
Here is part two of my Geek News
this week. As I said in my previous post, this week was full of geekiness that
I still can’t move on from it.
Who You Gonna Call?
Ghostbusters!
I believe this year is all about nostalgia because almost
all of the 2016 movies remind me of my childhood. Apart from X-Men, Ghostbusters was also part of my
childhood, thus it has a special place in my geeky heart. When I learned a
Ghostbusters reboot is coming, I was very happy. I became more excited when I
found out that the movie will be lead by females. While most people hated that
idea, I was very happy because, finally, female leads. Female leads who are
bad-ass, strong, and independent---my cup of tea. :D
I have been so busy at work the past weeks that I don’t have
time to blog anymore. However, I make up for it by updating my Facebook page.
Since I write for a living, I get so tired the whole week that I don’t have the
energy to write anymore. It’s also possible that I have a writer’s block or it
is hard to think of a topic to write. But finally, this week came and I
couldn’t be happier.
This week was full of geekiness! :D
I still can’t move on with all the geekiness that happened
the past days and it is making me giddy with happiness. Everywhere you look,
superhero/hero movies are releasing their promotional materials, such as
trailers, posters, and arts.
